The 8th annual ran on Saturday, July 11, 2026. Next year's date lands on the second saturday in july as always, and registration opens in the spring. Sponsorships are open now and close June 1.

Race morning

How the day goes.

  1. Packet pickup and registration

    Under the tents at St. Nicholas Church, early. Race shirts carry every sponsor's name.

  2. The 5K run/walk

    One loop through the neighbourhood, one water stop, one splash zone. Walkers are as welcome as the front of the field, and the results run from a 16-minute 5K to a 54-minute one.

  3. The Kids Fun Run

    The shortest, loudest race of the day. No timing, all medals.

  4. Awards, raffle, pancakes

    Hand-painted snowman ornaments for the winners, because it's Christmas in July and has been from the start. Then the pancakes the race is named after.

The course

Flat, shaded, and short enough for anybody.

The route leaves from St. Nicholas Church and loops the surrounding streets. One water stop partway round, and a splash zone the kids treat as the actual finish line.
